mission is to build the self-esteem of at-risk
youth in the South Bronx by identifying, tapping
and nurturing their innate wealth of abilities
and talent.
We help them embrace President-elect Barack
Obama’s “Yes, We Can” premise by providing
emotional, academic, social support systems to
enable them to build positive life skills as a
bridge to their dreams.

In
commemorating it's 40th Anniversary, SFI
is partnering with the MLK Health Center, Bronx
Lebanon's Community Health Education Center and
the Bronx Lebanon Intergrated Services (BLISS)
to support SFI's community
health initiative to develop a series of monthly
community health education, outreach and
prevention programs, which will highlight
pediatric and adolescent health issues. The July program
focused on home safety.

chef/nutritionist recently was the guest speaker
at Sports Foundation's's No Workshop No Jumpshot
program.
