SPORTS FOUNDATION CELEBRATES NEW LOCATION WITH
OPEN HOUSE
The
Sports Foundation has relocated to 871
Westchester Avenue in the Bronx, and to
celebrate the move, the Foundation held an Open
House at the new location on November 13 from 4
p.m. to 7 p.m.
As
part of the celebration, there was live music
and an art exhibit co-sponsored by Inside Out
Art, and featuring the work of Willie Weaver-Bey,
a rising star in the
New York art scene. There was also an
unveiling of a commissioned art piece by Weaver-Bey
that will be hung in the lobby of the new
headquarters.
Co-sponsor, Inside Out Art, supports non violent
offenders and ex-offenders who are visual
artists, leather craftsmen, and ceramic artists.
